How does it work?
Charging cost = wall energy drawn (kWh) × electricity price (€/kWh). Wall energy is higher than battery energy needed due to charging efficiency losses (~8–12% for AC charging).
All electricity prices shown are example prices only. Enter your actual contracted rate.
Example
Example: 60 kWh battery, 10% → 80%, electricity 0.18 €/kWh (example), 92% efficiency.
Energy needed: 60 × 0.70 = 42 kWh
Wall energy: 42 / 0.92 = 45.65 kWh
Cost: 45.65 × 0.18 = €8.22 (example price)
Assumptions
- •Electricity price is an example — use your actual rate
- •Charging efficiency constant throughout (varies in practice)
- •Public charger tariffs and session fees not included
